WEDNESDAY is DANCE DAY 🎆 JOIN US for Workshops & Lessons, followed by Party, every Salsa Wednesday @ The Range on The Ithaca Commons 💃 Meet new dancers, learn new moves, and have fun! If you’re a Beginner, learn the basics. If you’re Beyond Beginner or above, up your game! Workshops at 8PM are Intermediate level oriented. Intro Lessons at 9:15PM are Beginner level ✨ We mingle and practice between the workshop and lesson, and party til 1AM. No partner necessary. New content offered each week. 🗓 APRIL 17th BACHATA with GERALDO IGLESIAS
The Traditional Bachata Style is the most common way of dancing Bachata. This style is sensual and sexy, with lots of body connection and hip movement. As Bachata rhythm is a 4/4 music, the steps go 4 steps to the left and 4 steps to the right. On the 4th step, there is a hip movement or tap, a main characteristic of this style. One-two-three-and-hip.

9-10PM DANCE LESSON 🇨🇺️ TRADITIONAL SON CUBANO with SALSA
Son Cubano is the musical foundation of Salsa. It is danced on contratiempo timing ("on 2") and can be mixed with a tiempo Salsa timing ("on 1"). Son Cubano is a classy dance in itself, and adds old school tradition to Salsa through transference of frame, repertoire, and timing elements. Taught by Guest Resident Artists Adolfo Castillo & Lisbet López. For all levels.
